Some
treatments lower the amount of DHT in the hair
cell by reducing the enzyme 5 alpha reductase
(Type II only), but they do not stop testosterone
getting to the androgen receptor. Therefore, these
treatments are not entirely effective, and patients
usually see very little results.
TRICHAGEN® tablets for men, are proven
to block the hair cell androgen receptors, and
therefore stop either testosterone or DHT entering.
It also reduces the amount of the enzyme 5 alpha
reductase (Type I & Type II), which in turn
lowers the amount of DHT in the hair cell. This
leads to the recovery of the hair cell, which
allows it to produce a longer and thicker hair
over a period of time. Patients will end up with
more hairs per square centimetre and these hairs will be thicker
in diameter (hair density increase), giving a
much-improved overall appearance, with further
hair loss prevented.

How should you take Trichagen tablets?
25mg daily is sufficient for many patients to
achieve results, but those with extensive loss
or wishing to obtain maximum results may take
50mg daily for up to 12 months, and thereafter
25mg should be taken.
When can you expect to see results?
Male Pattern hair loss starts in most people shortly
after puberty, and develops over a long period
of time. Therefore, results cannot be achieved
over night. In general, most men notice a reduction
or the stopping of hair loss within 3-6 months,
as well as a reduction in the amount of scalp
sebum. It may be 6-12 months before an increase
in hair density is noticed, but providing the
follicles are still alive, improvements will occur.
If you stop taking Trichagen tablets, you are
likely to lose the hair you have gained, within
6-12 months.
